A college reunion is impending between Calvin Pryor and Teddy Bridgewater and the safety is hoping he comes out of the meeting on top.

“I’m gonna try to get him to throw me an interception,” Pryor told the News. “I know he’s going to try his hardest to not throw the ball my way so I can’t make a play on the ball. But hopefully, (he’ll) throw me an interception and then I’ll give it back to him after the game.”

Pryor knows the intricacies of Bridgewater’s game after their years together at Louisville and said that the coaching staff have picked his brain to learn more about the Vikings’ rookie QB, who the Jets face on Sunday in Minnesota.

“Nobody knows Teddy (like) I know Teddy,” he said. “I’ve been facing him for three years and I’ve seen him in practice, so I’ve got little tricks of the trade that we’re going to pull out of the bag and hopefully it can help us on the defensive part of the ball.”

Despite the rookie safety looking for an interception on Wednesday, he thinks very highly of his old college buddy.

“When it’s all said and done he’s going to be the best quarterback out of this rookie class,” Pryor said.

Of course, questions about the young QB had him sliding down draft boards until he was taken with the last pick of the first round. Pryor said he wasn’t surprised Bridgewater went so late by the time the draft came around.

“Especially after his Pro Day, when they started getting down on him, talking about his hands, making up an excuse to why he’s not a quarterback,” he said. “Which was B.S., as we all know.”
